Landlord's permission to sublet or assign agreement is a contract between the landlord (lessor) and the tenant (lessee) that permits the tenant (lessee) to sublet the premises or assign the lease to another party. In the case of a residential lease agreement, this permission is usually necessary before the tenant can assign the lease and the covenants thereof to another person or company in a binding agreement. After acquiring landlord's permission to assign or sublet, tenant would use an Assignment Of Lease Agreement to assign the lease agreement to another party. In the event that the residential lease agreement permits subletting or assignment without written permission from the landlord (lessee), an Assignment Of Lease Agreement can be executed by the tenant without need of a permission to sublet from the landlord.
