As may be the case with other contracts, real estate contracts may be formed by one party making an offer and another party accepting the offer. To be enforceable, the offers and acceptances must be in writing and signed by the parties agreeing to the contract. Sale and purchase agreements, in particular, must be signed and become valid when all parties agree to the terms.
A legal real estate sales contract must contain or be accompanied by disclosures mandated by state law. NUPP Legal sales contracts contain required disclosures.
